Just want to discuss a few things of note. First, the updates: the pictures page has been udpated finally with the banquet pictures from last years 2008 Championship banquet, enjoy those. Sponsor page is also updated, and a few new sounds added to the website in the drivers section as well.

OK, now on to the racing news. For the year 2009, myself, Jeff Walls, Kenny Wallace, John Saccomandi and even my dad will be racing for the full season at Grandview Speedway for NEETS. As of today, the #5 Superman Saturn is currently 3rd in points, hence I finished 3rd in the 1st race of this year. However, if I would not of been passed under the red flag, I could of possibly finished 2nd or even first (although someone did slam into me and break my right front hub). Jeff finished out of the top ten for the first time in many years, when he lost a right front tire. His racing day ended early, and he finished 30th. Kenny finished 9th, and is currently 9th in points. John finished 11th, and is 11th in points, and the godfather finished 15th and is currently 15th in points. Kenny, John, and the godfather all had to come in to the pits for one reason or another. The next race is May 24th, which is also at Grandview Speedway. The 30th, will find us racing for the 1st time at Wall Township Speedway, which is asphault. We have 8 races at Grandview (which is dirt\clay), but only 3 at Wall (which is asphault), however 2 seperate championships on the line for the same touring series, NEETS. Should be an interesting year, hopefully I can keep things a little more up-to-date on here. Till next time....whenever that is....

Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged out.... the webmaster. Ya, I've been a slacker for about a year, but I have updated the webpage on pretty much every page. You will notice updates on the Pictures page, Winner's circle, this page, Sponsors, and obviously the main page. Hopefully it won't take me a whole year again to update the page. Enjoy.

Up until the last race Jeff Walls was in the race to win his 1st back-to-back championship, but his championship run ended last weekend, when he lost a right front tire coming out of turn 2 at Mountain Speedway. He ended his day, and his season with that. He has ended up 4th in points, since this was a double points race.

In retrospect, I went from running over 40 races last year, to only running about 10 races this year. I finished 2nd in points at Mahoning Valley Speedway for NEETS, 4th in points at a screwed up Bridgeport Speedway, and 4th at Mountain Speedway. Came up short last year at all the tracks. So, was it worth it? Well, this year my dad and I were going to focus on 1 track. We were not even planning on running at Mountain Speedway this year for there Mountain Madness enduro series, but I started out so strong, we decided to make a run there. The car I am running had a strong finish last year, but I was to far out of points chase, there wasn't much I could do. This year however, I started out great, grabbing a 2nd place finish. I continued to race well here, and have won 3 times at Mountain Speedway this year (pictures on the Winner's Circle page). The car has not had less than a top 5 finish all year, and I was the ONLY driver to finish every race at this track in the top 5. Needless to say, I have taken home my first Championship ever, right on the heels of our great Philadelphia Phillies. Been a great last 2 weeks and I hope this will not be my last. I have updated the pictures page to include all of the pictures I have been able to collect this year, and I should have more from the banquet after the 15th of November. I promise to get pictures on the site once I get them. Oh, I finished the last race finishing 2nd, the same way I started the season.

OK everyone this could be the last update or second to last update of the year. I have updated a few things on the site, mostly pictures, as well as this page. As of now, Bridgeport Speedway's season is over. I happened to finish 4th in points, and Ian Wray finished 2nd in points. Seems all the Fugly's came up short again this season at that track, but not because a lack of trying. The track was dominated this year by the front-wheel drive Volkswagons. Could this be the future of dirt racing at Bridgeport? Well, most of the Fugly drivers will never know, since none of us will be going back to that track next year.

Ian Wray will be on hiatus for the next couple of years raising his family. He won't be back at Bridgeport next year, and won't be racing anywhere while he is waiting for his second bundle of joy in his fathering career. He has sold his car, so his car will be racing, just without him.

Kenny Wallace is finished with Bridgeport as well, and has the same bad feeling towards the track as I do. Both me and him were doct 50 points for not warming a track up while we were talking to the tech guy about next years points system. This took Kenny eventually out of the points chase and out of the top 5. We both didn't want to finish the season, but did so we so we didn't sense a total loss of a season. Kenny has sold his car and WILL NOT be going back to a track that does not support it's racers at Bridgeport. There is an outside chance Kenny will be doing some enduro racing next year, but has yet to make his decision; keep posted!!

Jeff Walls at this time is leading in points at Mountain Speedway and this is the only track Jeff has raced at this season consistently. He is currently 14 points up on the 2nd place in points. Hopefully he can get a championship for the Fugly\GSW team this year! I will post a final message at the end of the entire race season, so keep posted.

Last but not least, is the close of a VERY LONG season for myself. At Bridgeport I finished 4th in points, as I mentioned above, but not because that's what I should of had. Bridgeport screwed me and Kenny, and like I said we will NOT be going back to this track, because of the way they treated us. As for my other to track chasing champoinships, I am currently 4th in points at Mountain. I have an outside, and I mean far out chance of putting together a champoinship run at this track since I am 33 points out of the championship with 1 race left here. The only things I have going for me is my car, and that I believe the last race is double points. So I have a chance, but I really need something to happen for me to get in the top 3. The one thing I do not want to do is drop out of the top 5. As for my last track, Mahoning Valley, I am currently 3rd in points at this track with 2 races to go. I have a race this Sunday, and I need some things to happen to my benefit to edge closer to a championship here at this track. We can all agree that we do not like the track, but NEETS has always treated us well, and we will continue to support them as long as they support us. This could be the only racing series I run next year. Anyways, I am 20 points out of 1st and 6 points out of 2nd, so I am going to need some help to move up. Not to mention the 3 guys behind me are just as close to me. Our own John Saccomandi is also in the points chase here and Mountain. He is the top 5 in points at both tracks. We both have some stuff going for us, but we will have a more clearer picture of how were doing after this race Sunday. That's about it for the updates, check back here soon for my final take on the season soon!! Good luck to us all!!
